While the Nexus 5 shipping times did slip to 1-2 weeks within hours of its release, and gradually to 2-3 weeks, the handset never actually went out of stock. Now, more than a week after it initially went up for sale, the black Nexus 5 with 16GB of on-board memory is finally listed as out of inventory on the U.S. Play Store.
Shipping times for other variants of the handsets have also increased drastically with the white 16GB model shipping in 4-5 weeks, and the 32GB white not shipping before November 26th. Stocks for the 32GB model are also running low, with shipping times of 2-3 weeks. If you are really desperate on getting your hands on the Nexus 5 in the United States, T-Mobile or Sprint will be your best bet as both the carriers will start selling the handset by early next week. The catch is that they will be selling the handset for a $100 premium compared to prices on the Google Play.
