— AS (@AS) August 19, 2014 The IFA has recently become a popular launching place for new technology, with many companies planning on unveiling watches, smartphones, other devices at this year’s conference. The conference has a long history dating back to 1924 when it originally focused on radios industrial design. It has since evolved into a showcase for new consumer technology products. According to a TechCrunch report the Asus watch will cost between $99 $149 feature an AMOD display. The report also says the watch would be similar in hardware to the G tch Samsung Gear ve, neither of which impressed reviewers with their style. Tuesday’s announcement follows a recent report that is planning a follow-up to its disappointing G tch at the IFA show, potentially fielding a better-looking device with a more sunlight-friendly OD display.  IFA is not the only place seeing hardware launches that week, as Motorola is likely to finally unveil its anticipated Moto 360 smartwatch successors to the Moto X Moto G at an event on September 4.  Given the number of lower-cost mid-range build Android ar devices the Moto 360 still looks to be the most appealing, albeit higher-priced, option.
